Picnic野餐

Mom: Its a nice sunny and warm day today.

妈妈：今天天气又晴朗、又暖和。

Shall we pack a picnic and go to the park?

咱们带点吃的去公园野餐吧？

Child: Yes, please, Mommy!

宝宝：好呀，妈妈！

Mom: What should we pack for our picnic?

妈妈：咱们需要带点什么去野餐呢？

Child: Sandwiches and juice please.

宝宝：三明治和果汁吧。

Mom: Okay, should we make some sandwiches?

妈妈：好的，咱们做点三明治吧？

Child: Yes, please!

宝宝：好呀！

Can I help you?

我能帮您吗？

Mom: Yes, you can.

妈妈：嗯，可以的。

First, lets pick out what you want on your sandwich.

咱们先选一下三明治里都放什么。

How about some cheese, pepperoni, lettuce, black olives, and pickles?

放点奶酪、意大利辣香肠、生菜、黑橄榄和酸黄瓜？

Then, get two slices of honey oat bread.

然后拿两片蜂蜜燕麦面包。

Lay them side-by-side

把它们挨着放好，

and place your cheese on the bread first.

然后先把奶酪放在面包上。

Child: My cheese slice is stuck to the other cheese slices!

宝宝：我的奶酪片和其他奶酪片粘在一起了。

Mom: Here, let me unstick them.

妈妈：过来，我把它们分开。

There, now put it on one of the slices of bread.

Next go the pepperoni and the lettuce.

Then, carefully place the black olives and pickles on the lettuce.

Finally, put the other slice of bread on top.

Now lets wrap the sandwiches in cling film

and put them in our picnic basket.

Can you help me put some napkins and wet wipes in?

吃饭时用的餐巾纸叫napkin，不叫tissue，无论它是布的还是纸质的。

I will also cut up some carrots and cucumbers.

☀ Lunch Time at the Park

公园里的午餐时刻

Mom: Come on, lets have our picnic now.

妈妈：来吧，咱们开始野餐啦。

Is this a good spot?

这块地儿好吗？

Child: Can we sit under that tree?

宝宝：咱们能坐那棵树下面吗？

Mom: Of course.

妈妈：当然。

First, lets put our picnic blanket down on the ground.

咱们先把野餐毯放在地上。

Then, we will take our shoes off

然后咱们把鞋脱了，

and sit down on our picnic blanket.

坐在野餐毯上。

Would you like to help me unpack it?

你想帮我把东西拿出来吗？

Open all the containers

把盒子打开，

and spread them all out onto the blanket.

都摆在毯子上。

Child: Now we can eat our feast.

宝宝：现在可以吃大餐了。

Mom: We have sandwiches, carrot sticks, and cucumber slices.

妈妈：咱们有三明治、胡萝卜条和黄瓜片。

I also packed some crackers and apple slices as well.

我还带了点饼干和苹果片。

Child: May I have my juice?

宝宝：我能喝果汁了吗？

Mom: Yes, here you go, some apple juice.

宝宝：好的，给你，来点苹果汁。

And when we have finished our lunch,

咱们吃完午饭，

I have some chocolate chip cookies, yogurt, and dried seaweed for us.

我还给咱们准备了巧克力曲奇、酸奶和海苔。

下面几种巧克力食品，大家不要混淆。

*更普遍的情况是直接使用品牌名Pocky、Pejoy。

Lets watch out for ants though,

咱们得小心蚂蚁，

they love coming to picnics!

它们喜欢去野餐的地儿！

We dont want them to march away with our food.

可不能让它们把咱们的吃的都运走了。

因为经典儿歌The Ants Go Marching，大家通常用march来形容蚂蚁的运动。

Now that we are all finished,

咱们都吃完了，

we need to put all the garbage in a garbage bag

就需要把垃圾都装到垃圾袋里，

垃圾袋亦作trash bag。

and put it into the garbage over there.

扔到那边的垃圾箱里了。

We need to fold the blanket up

咱们得把毯子叠好了，

Picnic blanket-野餐毯和picnic mat-野餐垫的主要区别是，后者有一些功能性，如防水。如果用的是床单，用sheet。

and put it and the picnic basket back into the bottom of your stroller.

把它和野餐篮放回你的婴儿车底下。

Its almost time to go home.

差不多该回家了。

附录

食品保鲜用具

(1) Cling film 保鲜膜

亦可用plastic wrap或者saran wrap。

(2) Plastic bag 保鲜袋*

咱们常用的卷成一卷，每截之间有便于撕下的打孔线的保鲜袋，在美国并不常用，如需表达，可以将它翻译为plastic bag-塑料袋。

(3) Ziploc bag 密封袋

亦作quart bag。

(4) Plastic container 保鲜盒

亦作plastic storage或者Tupperware（特百惠商标名）。

其他常见野餐食品

Ham 火腿

Ham = ham sausage = 火腿，指腌制的猪腿，因此火腿肠不叫ham sausage。

Sausage 香肠

Hot dog franks 火腿肠

(1) 火腿肠和香肠的区别是，火腿肠里加了淀粉、植物蛋白粉等，而香肠是碎肉和佐料灌制的。

(2) Frank = frankfurter

(3) 亦可用hot dog（既可以指整个热狗，也可以指里面的肠）、franks、hot dog wieners、wieners，wiener读作 [wi:nə]。

Spam 午餐肉

在中国流行的marinated egg-卤蛋，在美国是不怎么流行的。美国有pickled egg-醋腌鸡蛋，但只在东南部比较流行。将“卤制”翻译成marinate，严格意义上不是特别贴切，因为英语中的marination是一个浸泡的过程，没有中式卤制的熬煮的步骤。
